"Tales of the first sunrise" is the story of the first day on Earth. Inspired by stories of creation from different religious practices, the story depicts the rise of the first sunrise as it is being witnessed by both Gods and Humans alike. Taking inspiration from the aesthetic codes of renaissance paintings as well as the structural composition of traditional African sculptures, “Tales of the first sunrise” is a re imagination of the origins of the world we live in, by telling a story on the commonality of human existence through the use of a surreal and almost otherworldly lens.
