“Lagbaja” (2021) is a story about duality and femininity represented in the cowries worn by both models. By using cowries as central pieces and strong cultural markers, an homage is paid to African femininity and its ties to culture, tradition and spirituality. As a central piece, the hope is to give deeper insight on the cultural significance of this item common both on the continent and its diaspora.”
